The four amulets at a glance

The stone scout with all four amulets · PEAK Wiki (CC BY-SA 4.0)
The amulets arrived in patch 2.0.a together with Ascent 8. Each one is a reusable mystical item that weighs 2.5 and has a single active ability. There is no cooldown: what limits you is Petrify, a status that fills your bonus stamina bar instead of the main one. Petrify never wears off by itself, and if it fills the bonus bar completely your scout crystallises into a statue and dies. Lighting a campfire (or entering Nadir) removes 20 Petrify, which is the budget you plan around.
| Amulet | What it does | Range | Petrify per use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scout’s Generosity | Duplicates a highlighted item | The item you look at | 25 (45 for a mystical item) |
| Scout’s Initiative | Slows falling, then 3 s of wind walking | You and scouts within 12.8 m | 7 |
| Scout’s Tenacity | Heals up to 60 status, then 10 s Invincibility | Yourself or one other scout | 10 to 30 |
| Scout’s Ambition | 8 s of Infinite Stamina in a bubble | You and scouts within 9.6 m | 30 |
Where the amulets come from
Each amulet sits in the hands of an amulet statue: a faceless stone scout posed to match the amulet it holds. Strands of blue light rise from the base, so you can usually spot one from far away. The glow fades slowly after someone takes the amulet, which is a handy clue that a teammate already grabbed it.
You must take the amulet by hand. Dynamite, the Rescue Claw and other hazards cannot knock it off the statue. Patch 2.2.a stopped statues from spawning inside rocks, which used to make some amulets unreachable.
One per biome, before the end
On our maps, every island in the current 208-island pool has one Scout amulet on each of the first four sections: one on the Shore, one in the Tropics or Roots, one in the Alpine or Mesa, and one in the Caldera or Gloom. None spawn in the Kiln or the Citadel. Which of the four stands on which section changes from island to island, so the old 21-island frequency table no longer applies. Today’s amulets lists the four for the current day.
Scout’s Generosity

Point it at an item close enough to be highlighted and it creates a copy. A normal item costs 25 Petrify, a mystical item 45. The copy has the same number of uses left as the original, so duplicate a First Aid Kit or a Bugle before anyone uses it. Amulets, Scout Effigies and checkpoint flags cannot be copied; the Effigy was blocked in patch 2.02.a.
Because every item of a type costs the same, copy the best thing you have: a Cursed Skull rather than a Ritual Dagger, cooked Scout Cookies rather than Airline Food. Generosity also shines when passed around. Four scouts each spending 25 Petrify per biome end up at 5 Petrify after the next campfire, and the team gets four extra items.
Scout’s Initiative

The cheapest amulet at 7 Petrify. On use it gives a short slow fall to you and every scout within 12.8 m, then three seconds of wind walking. Think of it as a team-wide recovery button: someone peels off a wall, you trigger it, and a fatal drop becomes a manageable one. It matters most from Ascent 1 up, where fall damage is doubled. Our map shows it with a double-jump icon.
Scout’s Tenacity

A reusable heal for yourself or a teammate. It removes up to 60 points of status in a fixed order: Injury first, then Spores, Poison, Cold, Heat and finally Drowsy. Then it grants 10 seconds of Invincibility. The Petrify cost scales with the Injury healed, from 10 up to 30, so using it on someone who is mostly poisoned is cheap.
Invincibility does not stop Petrify from building up, so Tenacity cannot protect you from its own cost or from petrifying stones in the Kiln.
Scout’s Ambition

Scout’s Ambition · PEAK Wiki (CC BY-SA 4.0)
Ambition creates a yellow bubble with a 9.6 m radius around the user for 8 seconds, and everyone inside has Infinite Stamina. That is enough for the whole group to scale a hard pitch together. At 30 Petrify it is the most expensive single use, so save it for the climbs that would otherwise cost a rope or a revive, and gather the team tightly before you press it. On Ascent 6 and above, where climbing burns 40% more stamina, it is worth even more.
How to find today’s amulets
Statue positions are fixed for the day, so you do not have to search blind. Today’s amulets lists all four with their region, and the interactive map lets you turn on the Amulets layer and see exactly where each statue stands next to luggage and campfires. Check before you drop in: if Tenacity is on the Shore, grab it right after the Crash Site; if Ambition is in the Caldera, plan to keep a slot free for the last stretch.
The island resets at 17:00 UTC; how the daily map works explains the cycle.
Which amulet to prioritise
- Normal runs and low Ascents: Tenacity first. A reusable heal for Injury and Poison saves more runs than anything else, and it is usually early.
- Ascent 1 and up: Initiative next. Doubled fall damage turns small slips into knockouts, and 7 Petrify is cheap insurance.
- Ascent 6 and up: Ambition becomes the strongest pick for hard walls.
- Long runs with a big team: Generosity pays back best when copied items are high value, such as cooked food or a First Aid Kit.
- Ascent 8: you need all four anyway. Carry them to the stone scout behind the Peak; the Ascents guide covers the Nadir ending and the Rule Zero badge.
Common mistakes
- Stacking Petrify on one person. Spread amulets across the team so each scout’s Petrify drops back near zero at the next campfire.
- Copying a used item. Generosity copies remaining uses, so duplicate first and use second.
- Popping Ambition with the team spread out. The bubble only reaches 9.6 m; anyone outside gets nothing.
- Leaving a late amulet behind on Ascent 8. Missing one statue in the Gloom or Caldera means no Nadir ending. Read today’s list before the climb.
- Thinking Invincibility blocks Petrify. It does not.
